This is a beautiful tooth from a giant African Carcharodontosaur Dinosaur from the middle Cretaceous of the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco! Carcharodontosaurus was one of the largest carnivores to ever live on earth! Nicknamed the "African T-Rex" it reached lengths of well over 40 feet (12 meters) and 8.5 tons, rivaling or even surpassing T-Rex in size! It's family, the Carcharodontosaurids dominated the middle Cretaceous landscape and included other monster size beasts such as Acrocanthosaurus, and Giganotosaurus! The tooth measures 1.75 inches (4.45 cm) along its longest edge (straight-line measurement) and .868 x .447 inches (2.2 x 1.14 cm) at its base with Fantastic serrations, a great tip, and a partial root, and no repair or restoration which is very difficult to find on dinosaur teeth of this size ESPECIALLY from Morocco! A terrific opportunity to own a piece of a truly monstrous carnivorous dinosaur, it comes in a double sided clear display case for easy transport and display!!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON CARCHARODONTOSAURUS: Traditionally all Moroccan Carcharodontosaur material has been labeled as Carcharodontosaurus saharicus, however recent discoveries seem to indicate that there was a second Carcharodontosaurid that has been named Sauroniops pachytholus. There also might not have been and the new specimen is just showing individual variation. In light of this I will be labeling my Carcharodontosaurus material as "Carcharodontosaur" to cover all bases.

All of my items come with a Certificate of Authenticity!

Have a wonderful day!

Species: Carcharodontosaurid

Found: Morocco

Formation: Kem Kem Beds

Age: 98-94 million years old

Repair: None

P.s. Also about the "African T-rex" thing, please be careful with that. Carcharodontosaurs and T-rex weren't even remotely closely related (taxonomically cats and dogs are more closely related than them) and lived millions of years and thousands of miles apart from each other. Any "T-rex" tooth you see not from America, is probably this guy. Which is fine, Carcharodontosaurs are amazing dinosaur who should get more attention, but please be honest and beware those who aren't.

Just keeping it real.
