This is a Huge Beautiful Columbian Mammoth (Mammuthus columbi) Partial Tusk from the Pleistocene of Florida! The piece is in fantastic condition with zero repair or restoration and measures 13.5 inches (34.29 cm) long, 5.5 inches (13.97 cm) thick, and weighs 8.65 pounds! Mammoths are a type of elephant with long curved tusks. The Columbian Mammoth lived in the central and southern part of North America during the Pleistocene from 1.5 million to 11 thousand years ago. It stood up to 13 feet tall (4 meters) and weighed up to 11 tons, larger than its infamous cousin the Woolly Mammoth (11 feet tall 6.5 tons). Due to their warmer southern habitat, Columbian Mammoths also had much less hair than Woollies. A great opportunity to own a piece of the most iconic Ice Age mammal!
