It has been coated in a layer of Paraloid B72 for extra stabilization! Mammoths are a type of elephant with long curved tusks. The Woolly Mammoth lived in all northern areas in the late Pleistocene from 400 to 4 thousand years ago. It stood up to 11 feet tall (3.3 meters) and weighed up to 6.5 tons. The molar measures a WHOPPING 12.5 inches (31.75 cm) across, weighs over 16 POUNDS! It's so BIG, I couldn't get measurements without using a tape measurer and a bathroom scale!!!!!
