Oviraptorosaurs are one of the most bizarre groups of dinosaurs. They had elaborate boney crests like some duck-billed dinosaurs, bird like bodies like their fellow Theropods, and despite being Theropods, a group known for carnivorous beasts like Spinosaurus and T-Rex, had no teeth. Originally found alongside clutches of eggs, it was assumed that these dinosaurs fed on eggs hence their name which means “egg thief”. We now know that those eggs were actually Oviraptorosaur eggs although that has left what these Dinosaurs ate a bit of a mystery. Although they are generally believed to have been omnivorous feeding on various plants and small animals. Most Oviraptorosaurs were about the size of turkeys, however the largest, Gigantoraptor, could reach lengths of 26 feet!
