Bowfins are a primitive group of fish that first appeared around 250 million years ago. they live in fresh water and have a rare ability to breathe in both water and air! This species of bowfin would have lived along side giant crocodiles, venomous sharks, and giant aquatic Spinosaur dinosaurs and would have been a tasty meal for any of them!
