Troodontids are a group of small birdlike dinosaurs closely related to raptors and birds. Like raptors, they had a large claw on their second toe, although Troodontids are smaller and relatively straighter. Although many believe they were carnivores, some studies suggest that some members were omnivorous. They were relatively small even compared to their cousins, the Dromaeosaurs, with the largest members getting to about 8 feet long. Infamously, Troodontids are known for having the largest brain relative to body size of any group of dinosaurs indicating they are one of, if not the most intelligent groups. Troodontid fossils are also among the rarest of all carnivorous dinosaurs, and their small teeth with unusually large serrations are highly prized by collectors!
Cf. Troodon formosus refers to this tooths remarkable similarity to the first troodontid ever named, Troodon  formosus. However, this species has never been fully confirmed in the Hell Creek or Lance Formation and even in its native formation it is debated whether the name is completely valid. Hence the cf. which means to confer or compare with.
A great opportunity to own a piece of one of the rarest and most mysterious dinosaurs!
